The patriotic pincushion
Inspiration can come to us at anytime, it's what you do with it that matters. Upon seeing a wool shelf pillow at the Red Rooster and I immediately thought pincushion. I was looking for an idea with a patriotic feel for the summer pincushion. Hope you like this as much as I do.

The Very First Pincushion
I will have to learn how to take better photos in the future.
English Paper piecing is the technique used to make this pincushion. Each flower petal was fussy cut to create identical petals, plus it is reversible. The vintage buttons really "tie" the flowers together.
April 29th is the first group meeting and I am excited to make this pincushion.
